It's been an interesting 2010. I think it's silly to try to "define" a year, but it makes me think of the 1976 classic Rudolph's Shiny New Year where Rudolph searches through all of the past years, which are now islands. ("1492 was too busy discovering things, 1969 was too loud!")
What will we say about 2010? Personally, mine was pretty enjoyable. Hectic, but enjoyable. I changed my major. And then changed it back. I helped impoverished kids in New Orleans on spring break and ate some delicious beingets. In April, I landed an easier, although lesser paying, job.
We spent the summer at the creek and moved to a new place in August. September brought football season and my 21st birthday. In October and November, I was bogged down with school, but the holidays came swiftly to rescue me. And now I'm here. Two days before 2011.
I hope next year rings just as true, but with maybe a little less growing pains.
